Nike has recently filed trademark applications to address the new virtual world. In October and November 2021, Nike filed trademark applications for several marks for use in “online virtual worlds” including: (1) NIKE, (2) AIR JORDAN, (3) JORDAN, (4) the Jumpman logo, (5) NIKELAND, and (6) JUST DO IT.
The classes of goods/services covered include, for example:
IC 009 for “downloadable virtual goods”
IC 035 for “retail store services featuring virtual goods”
IC 041 for “entertainment services” in virtual environments
