Attorney Scott Compton has been assisting inventors including professional and amateur athletes and coaches for many years in various sports.

As a former outfielder in the Los Angeles Dodgers farm system and son of Major League catcher and coach Mike Compton, Scott Compton has spent a majority of his life around professional athletes and coaches.  In addition to receiving personal instruction from professional baseball players and coaches as a youth, Scott was also trained by former world class sprinter and Hall of Fame track coach James Segrest (member Texas Sports Hall of Fame).  Scott has been an avid weight lifter his entire life and he has also been a practitioner of American Kenpo Karate for over twenty years.

Scott was raised in Odessa, Texas, the setting for the now famous FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS book and movie, where he was a four sport athlete.  A successful trackster, Scott once held various Odessa city sprint and long jumping records before following in his father’s footsteps and concentrating on baseball where he used his speed as a switch hitting shortstop and as a center fielder in the professional ranks.
